On March 7, the 32nd reporting and election conference of new governing bodies of Klaip\u0117dos Universiteto Student\u0173 S\u0105jungos (hereinafter \u2013 KUSS) took place. During the conference, the achievements of the past year were discussed: the annual and financial activity reports of KUSS were presented, along with the reports of the KUSS Council and the Audit Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the conference, a new KUSS President was elected and a new Audit Commission was formed. Congratulations to Dovydas Varanavi\u010dius on becoming the new KUSS President!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the conference, the former Student Union President Olivija Vaidak was interviewed. It was interesting to learn her thoughts after finishing her term and how she felt handing over the position to the new President. Olivija responded:
\u201cI felt relief, as the responsibility was lifted off my shoulders. I also felt sadness, because I had been part of the presidium team for two years, and everything changes in one day. It\u2019s a mix of emotions. While handing over the position to the new president, I feel great pride in myself for successfully enduring these years, but also great pride in Dovydas for having the courage to take on this role, as it truly requires a lot of inner strength.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked what she would wish for the new President and his team, Olivija said she would wish them strength, thoughtful decisions, and trust in one another:
\u201cI also wish the team to trust their president, and for the president himself, I would wish not to give up and not to be afraid to ask for help when things get difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new KUSS President was also interviewed. He was asked what inspired and motivated him to run for this position and what changes we should expect during his term. Dovydas was not very talkative, but spoke confidently:
\u201cWhat motivated me most to run were unfinished tasks, ideas, and the desire to continue raising student issues and solving them. Over the coming year, I hope students will better feel that their problems are being heard and that we strive for change, and understand that KUSS is a community that every student can rely on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We wish the President and his new team a successful term that brings great results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
