The student union of Klaipėda University has elected the new vice president. The former finance and marketing coordinator Augustas Andruška will hold this position.
According to Augustas, while working in finance, he did not have the opportunity to test himself. He was always interested in understanding how he would overcome unexpected tasks and how strong he is when working in a team. So the desire to test myself led to this position. After also trying to be a lecturer at the autumn Forum, Augustas finally decided on the position of vice president.
Augustas Andruška came to KUSS motivated by the same reason – to test himself. “In my opinion, I am quite active, I participate in events not only as an organizer, but also as a participant. I am able to freely express my opinion or stand up for it”, Augustas shares his thoughts.
Also, this year, Augustas served as finance and marketing coordinator, during which he faced challenges, but Augustas handled them well. Now August also holds the position of curator.
Augustas describes himself as a real Žemaitian who is not afraid to speak with a Žemaitian accent and thus stands out from the circle of people. Also, Augustas calls himself a headstrong person who is not afraid of various trials. “I like team challenges the most, because then you feel that you are part of a team. When working in a team, various tasks are performed much easier and more efficiently than when everyone works individually”, says Augustas.
Also, one of the motivating things for Augustas is the word “Thank you”. According to Augustas, every time he helps students and hears the word “Thank you”, he gets a greater desire to work and help them as much as possible. It is also very important for Augustas to leave something relevant and useful to future generations.
Various challenges and unknown obstacles are the main criteria motivating Augustas. “After overcoming them, you feel a good feeling inside, which I really like,” says Augustas.
