When studying in higher education institutions, it is important to follow the principle of academic ethics – academic honesty. Plagiarism of works, copying during settlements and exams – disregard of academic honesty.
In order to ensure academic honesty during the session, the Klaipėda University Student Union organized examination monitoring. All university students were invited to participate in this activity.
It is academic honesty that ensures the high-quality assimilation of students’ knowledge and their competence.
Academic affairs coordinator Ugnė Dementavičiūtė said that the goal of the observers is not to scare students or harm them in any way, but only to ensure the smooth execution of the exam and adherence to academic integrity. “Each student enrolls in higher education to receive not only a diploma, but also academic knowledge, and it is precisely academic honesty that helps to achieve this quality”, – shares Ugnė Dementavičiūtė’s thoughts.
