The sailboat “Brabander” of Klaipėda University was initially constructed in the Netherlands in 1977. This sailboat is 37 meters in length, 3 meters in draft, and 28 meters in height at the mainmast.
This ship’s furthest expedition was around Iceland. Not only teachers and students, but also scientists went on this trip.
Students from Klaipėda University had the chance to sail on the sailboat “Brabander” on the 15th of September.
“Even though I’m in my fourth year of University, I had to swim in “Brabander” for the first time. The history of the sailboat “Brabander” was very interesting. Unrepeatable impressions and a great start to the day“, – said a student of Klaipėda University.
