Academic integrity is one of the most important values that must be implemented in order to improve the quality of studies.
In order to foster the value of academic honesty, examination monitoring is organized. It is used not only by Lithuanian, but also foreign higher education institutions.
In order to achieve a smoother and more transparent monitoring process, the Klaipėda University students’ union, encouraged by the Klaipėda University administration, prepared the “Description of Klaipėda University students’ participation in the examination monitoring process”, which in 2023 November 24 was signed and approved by order of the rector.
“This document not only promotes a smooth and transparent examination monitoring process, but also reminds the entire academic community of the importance of fostering academic integrity” – shared the thoughts of Academic Affairs Coordinator Ugnė Dementavičiūtė.
The purpose of observation is not to scare or harm students and teachers, but to emphasize that success is determined by the ability to trust one’s own knowledge, and a good teacher is creative and open to innovation, not afraid to change the principles of exam organization.
We invite all interested students to fill out the exam observer registration form and contribute to the implementation of this process.
