On November 14 this year, an important meeting took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of KU – the extraordinary conference of KUSS. It was convened in order to amend the KUSS statutes before they were approved by a notary. The conference went very quickly – within an hour, a chairperson, a secretary, and a vote counting commission were elected. The amendments to the document were also reviewed and approved. Most of the changes to the statutes were stylistic, grammatical, and other minor errors. Several points were also changed to bring the statutes into full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. This was an excellent opportunity for new members of the union to familiarize themselves with the process ahead of the KUSS Conference, which will be held in early March.
KUSS President Olivija Vaidak was pleased that everything went so smoothly and quickly. After the amendments to the statutes were approved, all participants of the extraordinary conference were invited to meet in the evening in an informal setting and socialize.
So, although the meeting was short, it was productive and meaningful. We hope that future conferences will be just as smooth.
