This time, LSS “Veik” training took place in a special environment: the Barefoot Carmelite Monastery of Antalieptė, Zarasai district.
“It was nice to observe how an energetic and dynamic learning environment can be created from the monastery”, – said Ugnė Dementavičiūtė, coordinator of academic affairs of the student union of Klaipėda University.
Training participants delved into topical issues, shared experiences and developed new ideas. The first day was focused on specific training for the representative of each field, and the second was dedicated to the general topic – “What it means to be a leader”.
During the training, not only theoretical information was transmitted, but also various practical activities took place. During the first day, all participants participated in a “bingo” game, where they had to find a suitable person with interesting descriptions. There was also a “capture the flag” game, during which the coordinators collaborated, developed strategies and created alliances with teams from other fields.
The official part of the training lasted almost 7 hours – it’s a real test. Despite the fatigue, the training was inspiring and provided many insights.
According to the training participant, the coordinator must be evaluated not only by his work results, but also by his ability to rest, because this is the only way to avoid burnout.
KUSS academic affairs coordinator Ugna Dementavičiūta remembered the evening of the first day, when all SARK coordinators sat by candlelight and were baptized. This ritual not only created a memorable moment, but also strengthened team spirituality.
These trainings were not only an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills, but also a great opportunity to get to know colleagues, share experiences and create strong relationships that will help effective cooperation in the future.
