December 6 became a historic day – the first, highly anticipated, and successfully organized event of the International Relations Committee, “Freshers Camp,” took place!
Although winter was already gently nipping at our cheeks, this did not prevent the event from becoming a warm and memorable adventure for all participants. There were plenty of activities, both indoors in a cozy environment and outdoors in the fresh air. The morning began with team games, which helped break the ice. The highlight of the day was an orienteering competition, during which students used their teamwork and navigation skills to travel all the way to the sea. The evening ended with an exciting trivia tournament. Although the group was not large, this turned out to be the biggest advantage of the camp. The smaller group allowed for a particularly close and cozy atmosphere. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to not only socialize with each other, but also to connect with their Lithuanian peers. Language barriers melted away along with common challenges, and the friendships that were formed became the most valuable trophy of the event.
This Freshers Camp event marked an excellent start to a new tradition. We hope to see even more enthusiastic young people next year. Thank you to the International Relations Committee for a successful event, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
